Solution to River Water Quality On-site Monitoring

Environmental industries are more demanding about the monitoring and management of environment information. Moreover, environmental authorities and green organizations are launching an information-based drive, which includes the construction of pollution source monitoring system, environmental info management system, disaster forecast and pre-warning system and the like. In response to the market trends, EVOC Group launched this river water quality monitoring system.

Configuration

PPC-1571 is a 15” LCD Intel@ Atom N270 industrial panel computer, which fully meets the requirements of industrial application software. It features a full-closure fan-less and ultra-slim design. The full-closure fan-less design enables its normal use and more stable performance in harsh environment. It can be panel-mount, wall-mount, desktop and rack-mount.

Function Description

The hardware platform for on-site control is PPC-1571, which runs on-line water quality analysis and data acquisition, with MCGS configuration software. Via JBus protocol, it collects data from on-line analyzers such as COD, DOC and COT etc and enables MODBUS/GPRS wireless data uploading and GSM short message alerting. Also, it is responsible for collecting the information on water flow velocity profile etc, reaction of reports, calculation of water quality, process control of on-site automatic measuring as well as automatic info transmission to central stations. As the system requires more serial ports, it should be expanded for more serial ports, fully meeting the requirement of serial ports for the purpose of water quality monitoring.
